Competences:
Creation of a Command and Control Centre (C3-4Ocean) for unmanned vehicles to support maritime activities and the Blue Bioeconomy. It will be a state-of-the-art centre that aims to support 24/7 operations, focusing on the implementation of an operations control room that will be based on state-of-the-art computer and communications equipment, which will integrate the LSTS planning and execution control software, which will be duly adapted for the purpose, to support all operations.
The C3-4Ocean will address the challenge of ensuring, for the first time, the ability to maintain a continuous presence in the Atlantic in support of Blue Bioeconomy activities.
It will also be a European centre of reference for developing and testing cutting-edge technological products and services for the maritime sector in a real-world environment. The C3-4Ocean will have multi-domain unmanned vehicles at its disposal (sub-surface, surface and aerial), equipped with sensors for measuring Essential Ocean Variables (EOV), as well as other variables relevant to the Bioeconomy, which will be commanded from the proposed C3.
The C3-4Ocean project will follow an incremental process of adaptation, acquisition, integration and operationalisation that will culminate in an integrated solution made available to different stakeholders in the blue economy.
