Hub Azul Portugal and Fórum Oceano are organising, on 23 June 2026, in Brussels, the event “Hub Azul Portugal: Unlocking European Blue Innovation Partnerships”, an initiative dedicated to promoting new European partnerships for innovation and investment in the blue economy.

Held at Permanent Representation of Portugal to the European Union, The event will bring together institutional representatives, investors, businesses, European organisations and stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem to discuss how to translate Europe’s ocean-related ambitions into concrete projects, funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.

The programme will feature institutional addresses, presentations on Portugal’s Blue Strategy and the role of the Blue Hub ecosystem in bridging the gap between scientific knowledge, innovation, the market and investment. The session will also include a round-table discussion dedicated to the challenges and opportunities for accelerating European cooperation in the maritime sector and strengthening the blue economy’s capacity to generate economic, technological and sustainable impact.

The event will conclude with a networking session, providing an ideal opportunity for public bodies, investors, businesses, knowledge centres and international partners to connect.
