The investment of €7,780,800 (VAT not included) in the Hub Azul School, with a PRR funding rate of 100%, will enable FOR-MAR and the Infante Dom Henrique Nautical School (ENIDH) to make various investments in their infrastructures, with the aim of creating and boosting a true ecosystem of networked infrastructures and skills for the blue economy. This investment aims to boost the link between higher education training and non-higher education training in the field of the maritime economy.
Investments in FOR-MAR:
- Requalification and Modernisation of Training CentresImproving existing infrastructures to provide an up-to-date and effective learning environment.
- Modernisation of Technological and Digital EquipmentAcquisition of modern equipment to support training.
- Development of Interactive Digital Content for E/B-Learning Training: Creation of innovative and accessible training materials.
Investments in ENIDH:
- International Maritime Safety CentreInfrastructure dedicated to certifying the competences of professionals from the various sectors of the maritime economy in maritime safety.
- Modernisation of ENIDH Laboratories: Implementation of a programme to modernise and re-equip laboratories, training trainees in the latest technological developments and transformations.
- Purchase of Simulators: Covering gaps in areas where Portugal currently has no simulated practice.
This joint project between FOR-MAR and ENIDH aims to modernise and train students and professionals in the maritime-port, technological and related sectors of the maritime economy, promoting links between higher and non-higher education and strengthening the blue economy in Portugal.
