In the context of the World Ocean Summit & Expo 2024, Hub Azul Portugal featured prominently, presenting itself as a leader in the discussion about the future of the blue economy and funding opportunities for sustainable projects. The event, held at the Lisbon Congress Centre, brought together experts, investors and representatives of the blue sector to explore innovations and strategies in financing the blue economy.
BLUE HUB NETWORK MEETING HIGHLIGHTS INITIATIVES AND STRATEGIES FOR THE BLUE ECONOMY IN PENICHE
On 30 and 31 January, the Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar of the Polytechnic of Leiria (IPL) in Peniche hosted the most recent meeting of the Blue Hub Network. The event was attended by representatives of the network's various hubs.
During the meeting, each hub presented its project and business strategy, offering a detailed overview of its initiatives. The meeting included a series of workshops focused on knowledge sharing, innovation strategies, internationalisation and communication.
HUB AZUL PORTUGAL STANDS OUT AT THE BLUE WINK-E 2023 CONFERENCE ON FINANCING THE BLUE BIOECONOMY
The Blue Wink-E 2023 Conference, organised by B2E - CoLAB for the Blue Bioeconomy, brought together experts and industry leaders to debate innovative financing strategies, highlighting the importance of sustainability in the blue bioeconomy. The event, held at the Infante D. Henrique Auditorium in Matosinhos, dealt extensively with the topic of “How to Finance the Blue Bioeconomy”.
ESTM REPRESENTS PORTUGAL IN OCEAN HACKATHON 2023 FINAL WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROJECT
The project developed by the Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar (ESTM) in Peniche, part of the Polytechnic of Leiria and Hub Azul Peniche, has been selected for the final of the Ocean Hackathon 2023, which will be held in Brest, France, on 19 December.
