The investment of €7,780,800 (excluding VAT) from Hub Azul School, with a 100% PRR financing rate, will enable FOR-MAR and the Escola Superior Náutica Infante Dom Henrique (ENIDH) to carry out various upgrades to their infrastructures. The goal is to create and foster a genuine network of infrastructure and skills for the blue economy. This investment aims to enhance the connection between higher education and non-higher education training in the maritime sector.
Investments in FOR-MAR:
- Requalification and Modernization of Training Centers: Upgrading existing facilities to provide an updated and effective learning environment.
- Modernization of Technological and Digital Equipment: Acquisition of modern equipment to support training.
- Development of Interactive Digital Content for E/B-Learning: Creation of innovative and accessible training materials.
Investments in ENIDH:
- International Maritime Safety Center: Infrastructure dedicated to certifying the skills of professionals across various maritime sectors in maritime safety.
- Modernization of ENIDH Laboratories: Implementation of a modernization and re-equipment program for laboratories, equipping trainees for ongoing technological advancements and transformations.
- Acquisition of Simulators: Addressing gaps in areas where Portugal currently lacks simulated practice.
This joint project between FOR-MAR and ENIDH aims to modernize and empower students and professionals in the maritime-port, technological, and related sectors of the blue economy, promoting the connection between higher and non-higher education and strengthening the blue economy in Portugal.
