– Around 200 m2 – Command and control room – Autonomous vehicle assembly and maintenance laboratory – Work offices – Meeting room
Competencies:
Creation of a Command-and-Control Center (C3-4Ocean) for unmanned vehicles to support maritime and Blue Bioeconomy activities.
It will be a state-of-the-art center, which aims to support 24/7 operations, focusing on the implementation of an operations control room that will be based on state-of-the-art computing and communications equipment, which will integrate the LSTS planning and execution control software, which will be properly adapted for this purpose, to support all operations.
C3-4Ocean will address the challenge of ensuring, for the first time, the ability to maintain a continuous presence in the Atlantic to support Blue Bioeconomy activities.
It will also be a European reference pole to develop and test, in a real environment, cutting-edge technological products and services for the maritime sector. The C3-4Ocean will have at its disposal multi-domain unmanned vehicles (sub-surface, surface and airborne), equipped with sensors for the measurement of Essential Ocean Variables (EOV), as well as other variables relevant to the Bioeconomy, which will be commanded from the proposed C3.
The C3-4Ocean project will follow an incremental process of adaptation, procurement, integration and operationalization that will culminate in an integrated solution made available to different blue economy stakeholders.
